(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - Go4 is teaming up with the American Football Association (AFA) to hire athletic trainers for league games in multiple adult minor league/semi-pro football conferences across the United States.

The AFA is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt corporation, operating since 1980 with the goal of advancing the adult minor league/semi-pro football leagues that operate throughout the country. These member leagues consist of multiple minor league/semi-pro football conferences with over 1000 teams from Connecticut to California, including all female teams in the Women's National Football Conference.

The physical demands and risk of injury while playing require a certified Athletic Trainer at practices and games. That makes Go4 the optimal solution.

The Go4 platform makes finding and hiring athletic trainers easy with over 13,000 healthcare professionals on the app. Teams and organizations post shifts based on when they require an athletic trainer, with no contracts. This allows organizations the flexibility to hire for once-a-week practices, or a whole Saturday gameday.

On the other side, athletic trainers create an account which includes uploading their credentials and NATA (National Athletic Trainers’ Association) membership number before applying for per diem positions. The app allows athletic trainers to apply for shifts that fit their schedule; operators can then view credentials before accepting applications, all within the platform.

"This partnership fills a void for teams/leagues and integrates best practices for the most important aspect of football, athletic training services," said Dave Burch, AFA President and CEO. "Providing a platform that connects teams with certified on demand athletic trainers serves to further elevate our organizations."

Now more than ever, Athletic Trainers are needed on every sideline, everywhere. Athletic trainers provide services that include primary care, injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

“It has been proven time and time again that having athletic trainers on the sidelines of football games and practices saves lives," said Ellis Mair, VP of Medicine at Go4." We are excited to team up with the American Football Association to help make the sport a safer place for everyone.”
